সুবিধাবঞ্চিত’ বাংলাদেশের সামনে আরেকটি চ্যালেঞ্জ ( Asia Cup Bangladesh vs Srilanka 2023)

বাংলাদেশের এটা না ভাবার কোনো কারণ নেই যে টুর্নামেন্টে তারাই সবচেয়ে সুবিধাবঞ্চিত। প্রথমবারের মতো দুই দেশ মিলিয়ে হওয়া এশিয়া কাপে পাকিস্তান ও শ্রীলঙ্কা পাচ্ছে ‘স্বাগতিক’ হওয়ার সুবিধা। আর ভারতের জন্য এই অঞ্চলে খেলা মানেই তো সব ধরনের সুযোগ–সুবিধা নিশ্চিত থাকা। স্বাগতিক হলে তো বটেই, স্বাগতিক না হলেও।

কলম্বোতে বাংলাদেশ, পাকিস্তান ও শ্রীলঙ্কা দলের ঠিকানা গ্র্যান্ড সিনামন হোটেল। ভারত ব্যতিক্রম বলেই তারা আছে তাদের বরাবরের পছন্দ তাজ সমুদ্র হোটেলে। ভারতীয় চেইন ‘তাজের’ এই হোটেলে দেশের আবহ পায় দলটা।

সর্বশেষ যে বিতর্কে এশিয়া কাপ এখন টালমাটাল, সেটির কেন্দ্রবিন্দুতেও আছে ভারত, সঙ্গে পাকিস্তানও। টুর্নামেন্ট শুরুর আগে একমাত্র ফাইনাল ম্যাচেই রিজার্ভ ডে থাকার কথা থাকলেও কাল হঠাৎ করেই এসিসি জানাল, রিজার্ভ ডের সুবিধা পাবে প্রেমাদাসা স্টেডিয়ামে আগামীকালের ভারত–পাকিস্তান ম্যাচও।

রিজার্ভ ডে বিতর্কের মধ্যে পড়ে বাংলাদেশ–শ্রীলঙ্কা আজকের ম্যাচটার রীতিমতো নাই হয়ে যাওয়ার উপক্রম! কাল দুই দলের কোচের ম্যাচপূর্ব সংবাদ সম্মেলনে বেশির ভাগ প্রশ্নই হলো এ নিয়ে। দুই কোচই বললেন, এমন ঘটনা তাঁরা আগে কখনো দেখেননি। বাংলাদেশ আর শ্রীলঙ্কা এখন এই ভেবেই সান্ত্বনা পেতে পারে যে ক্রিকেট মানেই তো প্রতিকূলতার সঙ্গে লড়াই। কাজেই লড়াই চালিয়ে যাও। বৈষম্যের জবাবও দাও ব্যাটে–বলে।

শ্রীলঙ্কা ঘরের মাঠের সুবিধা পাচ্ছে বলে তাদের প্রতিকূলতা একটু কম, বাংলাদেশের একটু বেশি। ‘সুবিধাবঞ্চিত’ বাংলাদেশের জন্য যেহেতু কেউই কোনো কিছুর থালা সাজিয়ে রাখছে না, প্রতিকূলতার সঙ্গে লড়াইয়ের পরীক্ষায় তাদের নিজেদেরটা নিজেদেরই করে নিতে হবে। আজ আবার শ্রীলঙ্কার বিপক্ষে তাদেরই মাঠে সেই চ্যালেঞ্জ বড় হয়ে দেখা দিচ্ছে দলটার সামনে। নইলে এমনও তো হতে পারত, সুপার ফোরে বাংলাদেশ পাকিস্তানের সঙ্গে ম্যাচটা খেলল কলম্বোতে আর শ্রীলঙ্কার বিপক্ষে ম্যাচ লাহোরে।

যখন কিছুই পক্ষে যাবে না, তখন পরিস্থিতি মেনে নেওয়া ছাড়া আর উপায় থাকে না। বাংলাদেশ কোচ চন্ডিকা হাথুরু সিংহের কথাতেও সেই আত্মসমর্পণের সুর, ‘আমরা দেশের বাইরে খেলছি। দুটি দেশের (পাকিস্তান ও শ্রীলঙ্কা) কন্ডিশন আলাদা। আমাদের জন্য এটা বড় চ্যালেঞ্জ এবং আমাদের তা সামলে নিতে হবে।’

গত কয়েক দিনের বৃষ্টির পর কলম্বো কাল রোদঝলমলে দিন পার করেছে। তবে রাতে এ প্রতিবেদন লেখার সময়ই বৃষ্টি এসেছে ঝমঝমিয়ে। মাঠকর্মীরা ব্যস্ত হয়ে পড়েন মাঠ ঢাকতে। বৃষ্টিতে কালকের আগের কয়েক দিনও অবশ্য উইকেট কাভারে ঢাকা ছিল। টানা রোদ না পাওয়ার একটা প্রভাব তাই পড়তেই পারে উইকেটে। কাল অনুশীলনের আগে খুঁটিয়ে খুঁটিয়ে উইকেট দেখে হয়তো সেটাই বোঝার চেষ্টা করছিলেন হাথুরু সিংহে আর নির্বাচক আবদুর রাজ্জাক।

রানাসিংহে প্রেমাদাসা স্টেডিয়ামের উইকেট শ্রীলঙ্কার সাবেক ক্রিকেটার হাথুরুসিংহের অনেক দিনের চেনা। এ রকম উইকেটে বাংলাদেশের বোলারদের ভালোও করার কথা। তবে গত কয়েক দিনের বৃষ্টির পর আজ খেলার আগে এর মতিগতি কী দাঁড়ায়, তা নিয়ে কিছুটা দ্বিধাদ্বন্দ্বে বাংলাদেশ কোচ। উইকেটের সম্ভাব্য আচরণ নিয়ে তাই কোনো মন্তব্যেই গেলেন না। শুধু বললেন, উইকেটটা আজ কতটুকু রোদ পায়, তার ওপর নির্ভর করবে অনেক কিছু। এসব ক্ষেত্রে যা হয়, ম্যাচের একাদশ ঠিক করার জন্য শেষ সময় পর্যন্ত অপেক্ষা করে দল। হাথুরুর কথা থেকে নিলে বলতে হয়, ১৭ জনের স্কোয়াডে থাকা প্রত্যেকেরই আজ একাদশে থাকার সম্ভাবনা আছে।

শ্রীলঙ্কার মাটিতে শ্রীলঙ্কা বরাবরই বাংলাদেশের জন্য কঠিন প্রতিপক্ষ। লাহোরে পাকিস্তানের কাছে হারের পর শেষ দুইয়ে যাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা টিকিয়ে রাখার আজকের ম্যাচে সেটা সাকিব আল হাসানের দলের জন্য আরও কঠিন বাস্তব। কারণ, দাসুন শানাকার এই শ্রীলঙ্কা দলটা সর্বেশেষ ১২টি ওয়ানডের সব কটিতেই জিতে আত্মবিশ্বাসে টগবগ করছে। এর মধ্যে বেশ কিছু ম্যাচ অবশ্য আইসিসির সহযোগী দলের বিপক্ষে ছিল। তবে যেই দলের বিপক্ষেই হোক, টানা ১২ ম্যাচ জেতার অর্থ তো একটাই—শ্রীলঙ্কা কোনো ভুল করছে না।

অন্যদিকে আইসিসি ওয়ানডে সুপার লিগে ৩ নম্বর হয়ে ভারত বিশ্বকাপে জায়গা করে নেওয়া বাংলাদেশের জন্য এশিয়া কাপটা খুব ভালো যাচ্ছে না। লাহোরে আফগানিস্তানের বিপক্ষে দারুণ জয় তুলে নিলেও ক্যান্ডি আর লাহোরে তার আগে–পরের ম্যাচে ব্যাটিং হয়েছে খুবই বাজে। দুই ম্যাচেই বাংলাদেশ অলআউট ২০০–এর নিচে।

ওদিকে শ্রীলঙ্কার কোচ ক্রিস সিলভারউড নীতি নিয়েছেন, যেখানে বাংলাদেশ দুর্বল, সেখানেই তাদের চেপে ধরে। অর্থাৎ বাংলাদেশের নড়বড়ে ব্যাটিংটা যেন আজও সোজা হয়ে দাঁড়াতে না পারে, ‘আমাদের নিশ্চিত করতে হবে তারা (বাংলাদেশের ব্যাটসম্যানরা) যেন চাপেই থাকে। আমরা জানি তারা রান পাচ্ছে না। তবে আমরা এটাও জানি, তাদের রান করার সামর্থ্য আছে। সেই সম্মানটুকু দিয়েই চেষ্টা করতে হবে তাদের ওপর চাপ ধরে রেখে উইকেট নিতে।’

বাংলাদেশের ব্যাটসম্যানদের নিয়ে শ্রীলঙ্কার বোলারদের আলাদা পরিকল্পনা সাজানোর কথা জানিয়ে সিলভারউড পূর্বাভাস দিলেন, ঘরের মাঠে আজ নিজেদের সর্বস্ব নিংড়ে দেবেন শ্রীলঙ্কার বোলাররা। একই সঙ্গে তাসকিন–শরীফুলদের প্রশংসাও শোনা গেছে এই ইংলিশ কোচের কণ্ঠে। বাংলাদেশের ব্যাটিংয়ের চেয়ে যেন বোলিংকেই বেশি ভয় তাঁর।

বাংলাদেশের যেমন বাড়তি ভয় শ্রীলঙ্কার তরুণ পেসার পাতিরানা মাথিশাকে। ক্যান্ডিতে গ্রুপ পর্বের ম্যাচে ৩২ রানে ৪ উইকেট নিয়ে বাংলাদেশের ব্যাটিং নড়বড়ে করে দিয়েছিলেন ব্যতিক্রমী বোলিং অ্যাকশনের এই তরুণই। হাথুরু সিংহের কথায় তাই বাড়তি সতর্কতা, ‘মাথিশা যেখান থেকে বল ছাড়ে, সেটা অন্যদের চেয়ে ভিন্ন। এ রকম কিছুর জন্য বেশির ভাগ দলেরই প্রস্তুতি থাকে না। কারণ, এ রকম অ্যাকশনের বোলারের বিপক্ষে খেলার সুযোগ হয় না অনুশীলনেও।’

সব মিলিয়ে প্রতিকূলতার অভাব নেই বাংলাদেশের সামনে। তবে কঠিন ভাবলে বেশি কঠিন, সহজ ভাবলে বরং অনেক কঠিনও সহজ হয়ে যায়। কোচ হাথুরু সিংহের ওই কথাটাই তাই হতে পারে আজ বাংলাদেশ দলের স্লোগান—সবকিছু সামলে নিতে হবে।

কিডনিতে কোনো সমস্যা দেখা দিলে সেটা ধরা পড়তে অনেকটা দেরি হয়ে যায়। একটি কিডনি বিকল হলেও অন্যটি দিয়ে কাজ চলতে থাকায় সহজেই কিডনির সমস্যা ধরা পড়ে না। কিডনিতে ক্যান্সার হলেও তা বুঝতে সময় লাগে। শরীরে কিছু উপসর্গ দেখলেই সতর্ক হতে হবে। পেটে ব্যথা, অনবরত বমি, শরীরে পানি জমা, নাক-মাড়ি থেকে রক্ত ঝরা, খুব ক্লান্তি ভাব-অস্থিরতা, লিভার বড় হয়ে যাওয়া, রক্তে হিমাটোক্রিট বেড়ে যাওয়া ও রক্তের প্লাটিলেট বা অণুচক্রিকা দ্রুত কমতে থাকা। -প্লাটিলেট বা অণুচক্রিকা ৫০ হাজার/মিলিমিটার কিউবের নিচে নামা।

চলুন জেনে নিই কোন কোন উপসর্গ দেখা দিলে দেরি না করে চিকিৎসকের কাছে যেতে হবে।

১. প্রস্রাবের সঙ্গে রক্তপাত হলে সতর্ক হতে হবে। প্রস্রাবের সঙ্গে রক্ত, ব্যথা হওয়া কিডনিতে ক্যান্সার হওয়ার লক্ষণ হতে পারে। কারো কারো জ্বর আসে এবং বেশি ঘাম হয়।

২. পিঠের নিচের দিকে তীব্র যন্ত্রণা হলে এবং কোমরে কোথাও শক্ত দেখলে সতর্ক হতে হবে।৩. কোনো কারণ ছাড়াই ক্ষুধা কমে যাওয়া, খাবার দেখলেই বমি বমি ভাবও কিডনির ক্যান্সারের লক্ষণ হতে পারে।৪. হঠাৎ করে কোনো কারণ ছাড়াই অস্বাভাবিকভাবে শরীরের ওজন কমে যাওয়া।

৫. অল্প পরিশ্রমে ক্লান্ত হয়ে পড়াও কিডনির ক্যান্সারের লক্ষণ হতে পারে।

এ ছাড়া পায়ের পাতা হঠাৎ ফুলতে শুরু করা, মুখ-চোখ বিবর্ণ হতে শুরু করাও কিডনির ক্যান্সারের লক্ষণ হতে পারে।

এক যুগ আগেও আমদানি পণ্যের তালিকায় ছিল না তেঁতুলের বিচি। রপ্তানিকারক দেশগুলোতেও এটির তেমন কদর ছিল না। একপর্যায়ে মশার কয়েল তৈরি বা পাটপণ্য প্রক্রিয়াজাতকরণে তেঁতুলবিচির ব্যবহার শুরু হলে আমদানির তালিকায় স্থান পায় এটি। তবে হঠাৎ করে গত ২০২২-২৩ অর্থবছরে দেশে পণ্যটির আমদানি খুব বেড়ে যায়।

জাতীয় রাজস্ব বোর্ডের (এনবিআর) তথ্যে দেখা যায়, গত অর্থবছরে (২০২২-২৩) ১৬ হাজার ৮৬৮ টন তেঁতুলবিচি আমদানি হয়েছে। এর আগের ২০২১-২২ অর্থবছরে আমদানি করা হয়েছিল ৯ হাজার ৯৩২ টন; অর্থাৎ এক বছরে আমদানি বেড়েছে প্রায় ৭০ শতাংশ।

হঠাৎ করে তেঁতুলবিচি আমদানি বৃদ্ধির কারণ সম্পর্কে ব্যবসায়ীরা বলছেন, মশার কয়েল তৈরিতে তেঁতুলবিচির ব্যবহার বেড়েছে। আবার পাট প্রক্রিয়াজাতকরণের সময়ও এটির ব্যবহার রয়েছে। আর তেঁতুলবিচি দামে তুলনামূলক সস্তা হওয়ায় বিকল্প পণ্যগুলোর তুলনায় এটির ব্যবহার বাড়ছে। এতেই আমদানি বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে।
এনবিআরের তথ্য অনুযায়ী, চার দেশ থেকে আমদানি হচ্ছে তেঁতুলবিচি। দেশ চারটি হলো ভারত, মিয়ানমার, থাইল্যান্ড ও ইন্দোনেশিয়া। এর মধ্যে সবচেয়ে বেশি তেঁতুলবিচি আমদানি হয় প্রতিবেশী ভারত থেকে। গত অর্থবছরে মোট আমদানির ৪২ শতাংশই আনা হয়েছে ভারত থেকে। এ ছাড়া মিয়ানমার থেকে ৩০ শতাংশ, থাইল্যান্ড থেকে ২৪ শতাংশ ও ইন্দোনেশিয়া থেকে ৩ শতাংশ আমদানি হয়েছে।

তেঁতুলবিচির ব্যবহার বাড়ায় এই খাতে আমদানিকারকের সংখ্যাও নিয়মিত বাড়ছে। যেমন গত অর্থবছরে তেঁতুলবিচি আমদানি করেছেন
৯৩ জন। এর আগের ২০২১-২২ অর্থবছরে এই সংখ্যা ছিল ৭৩।

তেঁতুলবিচি আমদানিকারক চট্টগ্রামের সাইফুর রহমান  জানান, এক দশক আগে তাঁরা যখন তেঁতুলবিচি আমদানি শুরু করেন, তখন বিদেশেও পণ্যটি ছিল ফেলনা। শুরুতে খুব কম দামে আমদানি করা যেত। কিন্তু চাহিদা বাড়তে থাকায় এখন থাইল্যান্ড, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, ভারত ও মিয়ানমারে পণ্যটির রপ্তানিমূল্য বেড়ে গেছে।

সাইফুর রহমান বলেন, তেঁতুলবিচি অপ্রচলিত আমদানি পণ্য। হঠাৎ করে অনেকে এই ব্যবসায় নেমেছেন। এ কারণে আমদানি বেড়েছে। আর দেশে যে পরিমাণ তেঁতুলবিচি আমদানি হয়, তার ৮০ শতাংশই ব্যবহৃত হয় মশার কয়েল তৈরিতে।

দেশে বৈধ-অবৈধ মিলিয়ে মশার কয়েল তৈরির প্রচুর কারখানা রয়েছে। যদিও বাংলাদেশ স্ট্যান্ডার্ড টেস্টিং ইনস্টিটিউটের (বিএসটিআই) তথ্য বলছে, সারা দেশে বৈধভাবে কয়েল উৎপাদনকারী প্রতিষ্ঠান আছে ১২৫টি। ব্যবসায়ীদের হিসাবে অবশ্য এই সংখ্যা পাঁচ শতাধিক হবে। ডেঙ্গুর প্রকোপ ঠেকাতে গ্রাম-গঞ্জ-শহরনির্বিশেষে সব জায়গায় মশার কয়েলের ব্যবহার বাড়ছে। তাই কয়েল তৈরির কাঁচামাল হিসেবে তেঁতুলবিচির চাহিদা ও আমদানি বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে।

মশার কয়েল প্রস্তুতকারক সমিতির সাধারণ সম্পাদক হুমায়ুন কবির গত মঙ্গলবার বলেন, তেঁতুলবিচি গুঁড়া করে রাসায়নিক উপাদানের সঙ্গে মিশিয়ে কয়েল তৈরি করা হয়। এটি ব্যবহার করলে কয়েলের ভঙ্গুরতা কমে। এ জন্য মশার কয়েল তৈরিতে এখন তেঁতুলবিচি বেশি ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে। এটি মূলত আঠার কাজ করে।

হুমায়ুন কবির আরও বলেন, একসময় কয়েল তৈরিতে মেন্দাগাছের ছাল ব্যবহৃত হতো। ব্যাপক হারে ব্যবহারের কারণে মেন্দাগাছের ছালের সহজলভ্যতা কমে যায়। এতে সেটির দাম বেড়ে যায়। সেই তুলনায় কম দামে তেঁতুলবিচি পাওয়া যাচ্ছে।

রাজস্ব বোর্ডের তথ্যে দেখা যায়, দেশে গোটা আকারে তেঁতুলবিচি আমদানি হয়। আমদানির পর তা কারখানায় গুঁড়া করে বিক্রি করা হয়। গত অর্থবছরে তেঁতুলবিচি আমদানি হয়েছে প্রায় ৩৯ কোটি টাকার। তবে পাইকারি বাজারে বছরে এই পণ্যের বেচাকেনা অর্ধশত কোটি টাকার বেশি বলে ব্যবসায়ীরা জানান।
